My name is Gonzalo Perez-Ruiz and 3 years ago I quit my job to become a full-time artist.

I dedicate myself to painting custom family portraits using acrylic and colored pencils. I find creative ways to turn photos into one-of-a-kind paintings, wether that’s by bringing multiple photos together or restoring a black and white image with some color.

Choosing to become a freelance artist has been a difficult challenge, but one that has also been incredibly rewarding. It has given me a more aggressive work ethic and the confidence and resiliency to handle difficult situations. Not to mention the chance to spend more time with my beautiful family :)

I work and live in Eugene, Oregon along with my wife, two kids and our cats, Cocoa and Cobra.
